Wake Up Monastics Tour: Mindfulness Day

We have a very special event coming up. On April 22nd a group of monastics from Plum Village will come to join us in a One Day Retreat.

It will be a very nourishing day, full of meditation, singing, sharing circles (dharma sharing) and more. The monastics will also give a dharma talk and a Q&A. We will celebrate life together, and you are very welcome to join us.

The beautiful Stadsklooster in Utrecht will be our safe space for the day.

The day will start at 10am (doors open at 9:30am). At 4pm we will close the day together.

It is for everyone in the Wake Up age (18-35ish). No experience is required.

Location
– Kanaalstraat 198. It’s a 15min walk from Utrecht central station. Parking is limited and not free of charge.

What to bring?
– Own meditation cushion and (yoga) mat, there is a limited amount of space on the carpets. It is also possible to sit on a church bench.
– Own lunch and something to drink.
– Own cup if you want to buy tea (so we can save paper cups).

Cancellation
– Until 4 weeks before the 22nd April, 90% refund. Until 2 weeks before the, 75% refund. In the 2 weeks before the 22nd April no refund. You are allowed to resell your ticket.

Plum Village is the monastery in France that was founded by Thich Nhat Hanh, the zen-master that brought mindfulness to the West. Wake Up is the youth movement of Plum Village, with local communities all over the world. In The Netherlands we have a very active community, with which we organize various retreats and other events.
